Pepboys ripoff

I purchased disc brakes for my truck but due to work I was unable to install them. I traded the truck in so I went to return the disc pads the box was unopened. I was told since it was over thiry days old they would not issue a credit or refund. I was ready to purchase over a hundred dollars of items after the credit. But since they would not honor the parts since it was out of the time frame for returns. I just left the items there and threw out the pads since I didn't need them. I will never shop at the store as other shops with the receipt and a unopened box of parts would be credited.
