I became my mother's guardian May 2, of 2012. I went to Dollar Bank with a court order to release funds May 18. Dollar Bank refused telling me they received a Death Notice Entry on May 14, that my mother was deceased on December 31. I was told it came from Social Security, my mom does not get social security. I had the manager give me a written notice and I took it to Social Security. My mother is listed as active and alive in the Social Security system. Then, I was told that was a mistake, it was Office of Personnel Management that informed them but I had already contacted that office, my mom was active and alive in that system so then they told me it was the US Treasury Department. I was on a conference call with the US Treasury at the same time with OPM. I did go to court and have those funds released however I need the information regarding exactly where the DNE came from. My Mom's cicil service pension was split up going into the same checking account, part of it is no longer going into her account at all. I need to contact that office directly but for some reason unknown to me Dollar Bank refuses to give me that information. I did file a motion to show cause, Dollar bank sent a legal representative but not that specific information. As the hearing went forth there was no legal representative for Dollar Bank at the hearing. I want and need that information!

Complaint #2. After reviewing some of my Mom's checking account, Dollar bank has been charging her excessive overdraft fees for no overdrafts. Currently her statement says she has $18.00 in overdrafts year to date. She hasn't written any checks, she has not become overdrawn, she has been hospitalized since January.in some of the previous statements she has fees in excess of $500. And no written checks but the rent. Her pension is directly deposited on the first or second, occasionally the third. Direct debits don't start until some where around the 17 th. Who do I contact to look at or audit her entire account? I have statements back to maybe earlier I have not gotten through all of them yet.
