I owed council tax arrears of whitch i was trying to set up an repayment plan but was informed the debt had been passed on, i had a hand posted letter at 8am telling me if i did not contact them by 9am they would be coming to my home to take away possession up to the amount owing, i rang them asap and was told that if i never paid 600 to them they would forcefully come into my rented property and take what they could. They were extremley aggressive with myself i had till 1pm to get that amount of money im a single parent who doesnt have that kind of money!!! I managed to lend this and paid them they told me to get in touch with them to arrange monthley repayments, this i did but they were way above my budget and i still had to pay back the 600 i had borrowed. I rang my local council who said the would get back to me 3wk later i have another letter hand posted saying i needed to urgentley get in touch with them this i did and was told again very aggressivley that i still owed 900 and they would except 475 by 1pm the following day or the would force entery to my home even if im not at the property... Iam still paying the 600 i owed from the last threat all i want is for the coucil to take a detachment of earnings from my wages so i can clear thi matter up once and for all please help
