Tricked, bamboozled, swindled, took advantage of job seeke

Miscellaneous

On July 13 I received an email from "Brenda Collins" regarding a job interview for a position I recently applied for. The only contact information was the email address I noticed later, which was: lorenschiveley@yahoo.com.
Otherwise, the email seemed legit except that I was advised to go to the scoresense.com website to receive a free copy of my credit report to bring to the job interview.

The email was really long and detailed and lead me to believe if I did not complete the credit report portion I could not interview. I thought being asked for a credit card was weird but in hindsight the purpose of the email was to have me so enticed by a job interview that I would not think through providing my credit card information.

A few days later (7/21) I was charged 29.95, I called and requested a refund as I had no intention of getting
a membership. I was told a refund request would be entered. A day later I was sent an email stating my request was denied since the "deadline" had past. I never received a follow up phone call for an interview and I have been unable to
get a response back from the so called HR department which initially contacted me.
