I was getting married.
My wife (then fiance) and I searched for a wedding videographer.
We found the so called "video genius" (Lowell Briliante).
His prices were reasonable and he seemed like a really nice guy.
We saw his portpholio and it had good work in it, so we were optimistic and hired him. WORST MISTAKE OF OUR LIFE!

I signed a contract with Lowell for the video work. It stated that it would be finalized two weeks after the event, but he needed the entire sum of payment up front.
I was skeptical about that at first but gave him a shot anyways. (I WISH I DIDNT) After 2 months of trying to get in contact with him (he wouldnt answer my calls, texts, return messages, facebook messages or anything) he finally got in contact with me. He said it would be done "This Friday". Every week he said that for an additional 2 months. After dealing with this, 3 1/2 months after his breach of contract and him cursing me out in text messages (I still have them) we got the video back.
IT WAS HORRIBLE. He got the worst shots. He added the worst scenes and he was the most unprofessional person I have ever had to deal with in my entire life. He told us repeatedly that he didnt want to edit the video because he "had better stuff to do". This was the worst experience I have ever had in dealing with anyone in the service industry.

I can only warn you. If you plan to book the so called "Video Genius" DO NOT PAY HIM ANY MONEY UP FRONT. He will procrastinate and put your project on the back burner for as long as he can. I cannot stress how bad this service was.in the end (after four months) he acted like he did us a favor by doing what we had previously paid him to do. If I could go back in time... I would have saved a lot of money, time, headaches and stress.
