I accepted a position to manage (Dr. Samotin's) this Doctor's office and took a $30,000- base salary cut to do so on December 13. At that time I agreed to work over time to help find old money buried in forgotten account receivables on an old computer system so I could earn more money after hours. I was told to work and find the old money and that I would be compensated (bonused) at the end of a 6 month period based on the amount of money collected. I collected $400,000- and on the 6 month sit down date I was told great job; and told he would not give me a penny. I withstood 6 months of abuse and a $30k salary cut to be used by a physician with a terrible reputation but had I been forwarned I never would have stepped foot into his office. Typically old money collectors are compensated at an average of 30% which would have been $120,000. But I would have been happy with 10% or even 5% or $20,000.00. I was verbally abused and threatened so I resigned under diress and asked for my vacation pay earned of 1 week and my request was ignored. I am not the first person to form a complaint against this doctor for his bad behavior/poor ethics. You can check his record for yourself. Bad news. And I will just leave it that.
