Mr. And Mrs. Mendez Ripping of Disabled Viet Nam Veteran

These people have been taking advantage of my friend for years now. He is a Viet Nam veteran who served 3 tours in Airborne and has been awarded the Purple Heart. Unfortunately as many of the soldiers from that era he has only an 8th grade education and is very gullible. He doesn't understand how these scams work and these people continue to call him and convince him that they are telling the truth, that they would never take advantage of a veteran and he believes them.

He has sent them thousands of dollars over the last 3 years and has been coerced into giving them his banking information on 3 occasions. They have rerouted his VA check and his Social Security direct deposits, and just when I have helped him sort it out and change all his information, they call him and hound him until he caves in and gives it to them again. I've tried to make him understand it's a scam, but he gets made because he thinks we are saying he is stupid and he quits telling us what he's doing until he needs help because once again he hasn't gotten his checks.

These people should be lined up against a wall and shot firing squad style. Please, if you have anyone that suspect is being taken advantage of by these people intervene immediately.
