Bank of America sold my loan to Green Tree last year. I was happy to be done with BOA, as a BOA modification officer had advised me to miss a mortgage payemnt as the only way to be eligible for a modification back in 2008. I had had 13 morgages with BOA and never missed a payment.instead, BOA illegally withheld my subsequent payments, which were made on time every month using BOA online account transfers, putting them into a different account, and adding late fees to my mortgaged. The threatening latters and calls commenced, and when I told them my payments were only one behind and i was waiting for mod, the callers said they had no record! After multiple errors on BOAs part, they offered me a modification - to INCREASE my payments! Meanwhile, they destroyed my credit. After two years of contacting highest levels I could, BOA removed the late fees and I had paid the single missing payment. But when Green Tree stepped in, my account was showing missing a payment. Since December I have sent them all my bank statements showing the BOA payments were made, and have written and called and spoken to four people who said they would look into it.instead, I keep getting threatening latters and statements showing I am in arrears. No one has any accountability. I suspect they are taking millions in extra payments from people while ruining credit so we cannot dump them and go elsewhere.
