National Better Living Association - Insurance Scam
Consumer Report

Miscellaneous

When we signed up with the National Better Living Association (NBLA) in May we were told by their representative that my wife had Major Medical Coverage to entice us to sign up. When my wife was diagnosed in September with throat cancer the hospitla called NBLA and received the approval to proceed ahead with the appropriate radistion (35) treatments and chemotherapy (12) treatments. When the hospital started billing for the claims we were notified by two associated insurance companies (American Medical and Life Insurance Company and Unified Life Insurance Company) denying the claims stating that her cancer was a "pre-existing" condition. NBLA is currently under investigation by the State of Georgia regarding all the complaints regarding their business practices - so please be advised stay away from this company and you won't end up losing everythig.
