National Better Living Association
NBLA They lied about my coverage and left me owing thousands of dollars to Summit Medical Group

Health & Medicine

In 2009 I applied for health insurance with National Better Living Association, I was led to believe that this company provided health insurance and that their program was not a medical discount program. Upon speaking with an agent, I gave all the pertinent information such as existing conditions. I asked about prescription coverage and was told that that was part of the health insurance plan. I also gave all the pre-existing condtions I had. And I was assured of full coverage and that I did not have a co-pay and that I had emergency room coverage as well.in 2011 I go to the doctor and am told that I have to pay for the visit and any test that were needed. I called NBLA and was told that I no longer had a full coverage plan, that I should have received a letter stating this. I said that I did not and that they were still taking out a total of 564.00 from my account for coverage. I was told by a Scott Palmer that they were not taking out that amount any longer and that I was sent a letter stating that I no longer had full coverage. I never received any such letter and now I am left with a bill in the amount of 5,000.00 with Summit Medical Group, which I am paying off a little at a time.

I presently have other health insurance, but they need a certification that I had prior coverage with pre-existing conditions. This company is one of the worse companies I have ever dealt with. I would never recommend them to anyone.
