6 months ago I contacted this company to refinance my home. I had a couple of liens on my home. This company told me that I had to have 1 of them removed before they could do the loan for me and the other 1 they could pay off and refinace it in the loan. So I paid $500 for an appraisal and hired a lawyer and paid another $1800 to have the 1 lien removed. I was able to accomplish that. Now 6 months later American Finance is telling me they can't do the loan after all because of the outstanding lien they said they would pay off for me. I am very upset as they knew from the beginning about the lien, I took care of it, and received 2 approvals that I was going to get the loan, and a congratulations letter. Today I received a denial letter.
