Rip-off! 15 story apartment trash shutes back up, pool pipes burst

This apartment is managed by negligent and abusive staff who do not respond to situations which are germaine to public health and safety but choose to recarpet the hallways in the 15 story building rather than address maintenance needed to unclog refuse from the garbage shutes. Garbage rots in the shute and backs up while managers recarpet the halls.

Old carpeting was torn out of the halls and it took two months to reinstall new carpets. Meanwhile elderly residents tripped on debris. There are no fire extinquishers on many floors. The elevators are broken, handicapped and elderly people have no way in or out of the building. The fire alarms have sounded so many false alarms the Fire Department is warning the building manager that if one more stuck elevator requires assistance they will fine the company.

The management hires people who live in the building but charges $75.00 for lock outs, that's when you loose your keys and need management to let you in your apartment. The managers hired a company to replace all of the locks on apartment doors, but failed to address the real problem —the entrance doors to the buildings which do not close and do not have functioning buzzers. Video cameras in the entryways don't work. So why did they replace every lock on every apartment door? I had no problem opening and closing or locking my door until the locks were changed, now I have had to have a locksmith let me in three times, fortunately he does not charge as much as the management because he is across the street and he will let me write a postdated check.

The pipes burst on the rooftop swimming pool last year and flooded several floors down from the roof but no money was refunded on the rent for water damage.
The average rent here is $1,200 per month for an efficiency.
