Commerce Investment Group mailed me a check for $3,980 as part of a $150,000 lottery winning, but they want me to pay them $1,995 in taxes before trying to cash it. The envelope had a distorted logo of The Home Depot as the return address.

The printing on the check looks real, but the paper is thin and cheap.

The bank name printed on the check is Lasalle Bank N.A., Chicago, Illinois 60603, with Bank of America routing number 071923022.
