Work not completed by deadline. Workmen were messy and extremely incompetent. Contractor often did not return phone calls. Prices cooked.
Work not completed by deadline of June 7. House was a mess when we arrived on June 7: studio floor not finished, basement bathroom and plumbing unfinished, fence not installed and of very poor quality, water filter system not installed, front door not painted. The contractor who had started the job was no longer on the job and "Brandon" had "taken over", but clearly was clueless as to what was supposed to happen. He was very arrogant and full of promises, which he never kept, sending workers he didn't even know (one off of Craig's list!"Lonnie" who was installing the studio laminate floor, never put the flooring under the baseboards so we had to caulk all around! He was totally incompetent: Laminate not secured properly in place, the sheets not snug, and no angles cut on baseboards. Plus, we discovered he even covered over the heating vent and left the grate by the window! Our phone calls never returned on this. The plumber used the cheapest materials and did not secure the toilet properly. A master plumber had to redo all of his work. The fence, which was lying on my deck, was badly assembled and had cheap plastic for thelattice which was wavy (they were going to charge me $3,500 for it!) There were mathematical "errors" (in their favor) on the invoice: 5 can lights @75 was total cost of $625 (Vs. $375), 7 drywall @ 75 was listed at $1,450. (They claimed to use 19 drywalls, but this cannot be believed for the area covered). Ceiling fan with labor: $550. (never installed, so I did not pay)
In summary, CPR had a month to do the work, but after painting a couple of rooms and doing the staging of one room's ceiling, waited until the last minute to install the tiles, paint the studio, start the plumbing and lay the floor. The workers they did hire were seemingly pulled off the street and did not seem to know what they were doing. CPR did not seem to care about the client in the slightest, and Brandon in particular had no idea about what was on the invoice, claiming he never read invoices! He kept reassuring me with false promises of how the jobs would all be completed.
Trash in garage not picked up until the last minute.
This is the worst company I've ever encountered!!! Probably scammed @ $15,000. With all the cooked prices.
