All-City Circulations called me telling me my subscription service was running out and I owed them $4.95 a week for the amount of time left on my contract. I tried to get an explanation from them but was told I had to pay $49.95 a month for the next 23 months. Once paid off after 23 months, then the next 30 months were free. I have a magazine company I have been dealing with for more then 5 years now. Was not sure if they changed their name of not. I tried to explain that I did not want 60 months of magazines that when the deal with them ran out I wanted to cease their services. I was pressured by the representative to pay the amount owed. I finally agreed and was turned over to the supervisor to conclude the deal. Her name was Angel. I again tried to explain to her my problem. She kept saying I would pay for 23 months and not 60 months, yet I would be making double payments for 23 months in order to get 30 months free.

In the end I finally gave my Debit Card number and CVV. I asked that they not take anything until Friday the 4th. She agreed that they would not take payment until then. I explained that I had no money until the 3rd for payment. I grew suspicious and checked my account which, including a $9.99 debit I had incurred the day before, I discovered a debt to my account for $59.94 and a negative balance.

I called my bank and explained that this company was not on the up and up and they are scamming me of my money. My bank is working with me on this and my debt card is now being changed. They cannot get into my account now and I should get my $49plus back within 6 weeks or was it 6 days. Anyway, I plan on calling them tomorrow and after that I will get in touch with my local police department and my personal attorney and the Connecticut Attorney Generals office about this.
