On 2/22 Brad Scott of Southern Home Loans emailed an agreement guaranteeing that from their leads, I'd write 30 homeowner insurance policies at a cost to me of $360. The agreement was that all leads would be verified as wanting/needing insurance and expecting an insurance agent to call them. Before agreeing I checking information with both the internet and a living source. They drafted my checking account. From the start, none of the leads I received were prepared for my call. I reached out to Brad and complained, he promised to fix the problem, after 2 weeks I was transferred from Brad to Andy nothing had changed. After 3 weeks, none of the leads I'd recieved had been verified, the lead didn't know who Southern Home Loans were, the lead didn't recall talking to anybody from Southern Home Loans about insurance, and none of the leads expected an insurance agent to call or quote their home. I complained daily to Andy. On 3/23 he had Ashley Mendez, SHL Supervisor, fax a Refund Agreement to me for $360; I signed and faxed it back as per instruction. Andy called saying the check would be mailed the following Tuesday 3/27. On 4/19, still no check, they quit answering my phone messages and emails; on 4/27 I made a report to the BBB in Southern California, I've still not received the refund, they refuse to talk to me and still refuse to answer my emails.
