We had agreed and paid for a lead referral service with the lead provider Southern Home Loans. We were told that we would receive leads containing potential clients who were closing on a mortgage either due to a new purchase or a refinance of a property, and were to receive an emailed lead with the potential clients name, address, etc. So that we could contact the client and offer them a homeowner's insurance quote.

Out of every lead we have received we have not spoken to even 1 person that is actually closing on a loan. Some of the phone numbers are disconnected, but any of the people I have been able to reach have told me that they bought their homes a long time ago.

They all want to know where I even received their information from. One of the leads actually has not purchased or refinanced his home in 2 years. So it appears we are being given old information, not information on people actually needing insurance.
