James Malia was hired to do a caricature save the date for my wedding. I first spoke with him on 2.28.12. He agreed to do the work and I paid a deposit of $100 via Pay Pal.
There are quite a few out of town guests coming to the wedding, so it was important to get the save the date out at least 6 months prior to the wedding. I contacted James a little over 6 months prior to the wedding and he promised to have the illustration completed within 1 week, no more than 2 max.
After a series of emails dragging out the process, and excuse after excuse (some more believable than others) James completely disappeared. He will not respond to emails and will not answer my calls.
It has been 58 days since I originally contacted James and there is still no save the date and I haven't heard from him since 4.4.12. His work is impressive and I had my heart set on him which is why I gave it so long-he also took my money and planning a wedding is expensive.
