Beware... PLATINUM SALES a company under the umbrella of United Family Circulation. READ THE FINE PRINT on the sales slip!

Do not fall prey to sales people who use the BUZZ WORDS: lives near your neighborhood, home-schooled, plays for local soccer team, wants to go to tournament overseas.

And a new line..."if you purchase 3 or more magazines, which by the way you can donate to charity, I'll power wash your house, wash your windows, mow your lawn, or rake your leaves, etc"

The prices are highly inflated and you will do nothing more than reward a kid who is learning that being a con artist works on people who have a kind heart.

IF YOU FALL PREY, fax a letter requesting cancellation to 770-831-7040. Contact the Atlanta BBB. Call the number listed on the sales slip and note who you talk to, demand name of sales manager and ask for a return phone call, but don't expect one. Keep phone records. Write a letter to the owner of United Family Circulation, this information can be found on the Atlanta BBB site. Call, send a letter and report by internet to all the magazines you ordered. Continue to fight through the BBB because if the company does not comply, the records will tarnish them for years.

Most important... Many of these people work off the notion that most people are all talk and that they will not actually go through with a report. Afterall, it isn't fun being humiliated and admitting it. Put your pride aside and stand your ground.
