On a Saturday, two young men came to my front door and stated they were from my local High School debate team. The young man had said that he was out trying to meet 100 people in the neighborhood and I was number 72. He had also stated that he was doing this as part of his debate team and he lived just around the corner with his mom and that they will be attending a competition in France.
He then said that in order to attend he needed to raise half of the cost for the trip.in order to do this he would provided a list of magazines that he was selling.
I said okay. This was a MISTAKE on my part. As they left, I had notice a man outside sitting a blue SUV parked on the wrong side of the street. This made me suspicious.
I then did a search on the Internet about the company listed on the receipt. I found this site and the exact company name with many different reports listed. I felt betrayed.
Do NOT fall for this scam either.
