I recieved a text message on my phone stating that I had won a $1000 dollars from Walmart. My husband is on disability/socoal security because of his health issues and we are on a very fixed income due to his very poor health. After we got the text we went to Walmart and spent $178.00 thinking we were going to recieve a thousand dollars cash from Walmart. This has now put us in a bad financial bind due to the fact that we could not afford to due this. It is pretty bad to scam a disabled man. Is there any possible way to get our money back? I believe I have a couple reciepts but not for all of it. I only have reciepts tottaling maybe $37.00. I didn't think I would have to save the rest.
