Ripoff-fraudulent magazine subscription orders

On 5/17/04 I was given a talk by a young man stating he was in college and was selling magazine subscriptions in order to get money for school and to win the 1st prize. Believing that he was who he was and the reason for his door to door selling I then purchased 1 magazine subscription for $22.00 which also entitled me to 2 additional magazines. He then explained there was a $10.00 processing fee. Still believing all was OK i wrote a check for $32.00.. This check was cashed on 5/26/04.

Since I had not heard anything from the company nor had I received any magazines I decided to check on the company, that is when I found out it was on the usacomplaints.com. Because of Palmetto I am out $32.00 but beyond that I will probably not ever by another thing from door to door sellers even if they are legitimate.
