I not only faxed info ($9), but called several times trying to find out whether they could take the money from the winnings. I called the real loteria primitivo, and they told me it was a fraud, that they don't send letters, and they you have to buy tickets there to win, then check them yourself.

When I called, noticing the obvious African accent, I asked the "secretary" if she spoke spanish. She replied that she did, but was not allowed to.

The claims agent who also had a heavy African accent although his first name was Martinez called me back after I was alert to the scam and hadn't responed anymore. And he seemed to have an answer for everything. When I asked how they got my name, he responed he didn't know, perhaps through my buying something with a credit card, etc...
