My 92 year old mother-in-law had her checking account hit with a electronic check for $448.74 on March 16. She does not have any recollection of solicitation. When we called the number to hear the "phone authorization" which is printed in the endorsement area of the "check" the recording states that there isn't one for this check.
This is fraud and elder abuse! These crooks took almost half of her monthly social security!
