My 80 year old mother went to her bank to cash a check and check on her account (she does not have a computer) and was told she was overdrawn. She should have had about $600.00 still in there after her social security was deposited. The bank looked into it and found a check that was not hers made out to Club Billing FBO YS Membership. My mother is swears that she has not given anyone any information over the phone. The bank called the number that was listed on the echeck and spoke to someone who claimed to be a third party company. They said she had given authorization over the phone. They put my mother on the phone and she told them she did not and wanted her money back. The woman said it would be 21 days to return it. I called and she said the same thing. I was not so nice and ended hanging up on her because she also was not very nice. I don't know how these people can live with them selves stealing from the already poverty stricken elderly.
