Miscellaneous

I first came across the Ziinga.com website on the 7th of January and used the free bids to try and win something when I won a mobile phone. When I realised I had won the mobile phone I gave my credit card details to pay the $7.56 for the mobile phone. I never got the mobile phone (when I asked an online services operator yesterday "why?" they told me they sent me an e-mail needing copies of my credit card... But I never got any e-mail at all)!

Now I had opened a new bank account 6 months ago that I hadn't recieved any statements from, so a few days ago I finally set up internet banking and got the shock of my life.

I discovered that they had gone and charged 4 transactions on my account over the last few months, all without my authorisation or knowledge.

They had charged me -

$90.17 on the 07/01/12
$89.99 on the 21/01/12
$89.99 on the 29/02/12
$89.99 on the 30/03/12

I had given them no authorisation to go and debit anything at all from my credit card except the $7.56 for the mobile phone.

I have sent them 9 e-mails demanding refunds and they refuse. I even spoke to 2 women on the live-chat part of the website and they flatly refuse to refund me. They keep saying that it is membership fees and monthly membership fees... But I kept telling them that no-where on the website does it state that!

I told them that I hadn't authorised them to debit my account for anything other than the mobile phone, but they flatly refuse to refund the $360.14 they charged me without authorisation.
