Ripoff Stolen Security Deposit

I moved in to an upstairs apartment as they were starting a total remodel. Halfway through the lease they wanted to remodel our unit. They offered to pay for the move costs to a downstairs unit. We accepted and moved downstairs. The downstairs was a nightmare. There was a large crack in the wall and every time it rained, the carpet was soaked. Also mice were getting in through the walls.

At the end of that short term lease they wanted us out because they were going to remodel that unit. We left on the last day and cleaned EVERYTHING. As we walked out the door, the construction workers walked in with their tools and we could hear them tearing down the walls.

Our Security Deposit was slashed because they said we didn't clean the bathroom and Oven, which were BOTH THROWN AWAY before the inspection. Besides that, The workers were tearing things up as we left, so the mess couldn't have been ours. Do not live here.
