I saw the ad on craiglists that called for M-F from 9-5 for a manager’s position. I called the number provided by us safety, a women by the name of Pamela (personal information has been removed) answered and immediately gave me an interview for the same day. My first initial question to Pamela was “is this a sales position? ” She stated that it wasn’t and proceeded to state that it was an office position with base pay. She also claimed that a fee of 75.00 had to be paid for a background check since you would be handling a massive amount of cash. I went to the interview and was overwhelmed by the young staff environment that didn’t know how to act professional and respectful towards people. As I proceeded to take notes, the “manager” rudely asked me to stop and put my paper away. She rolled her eyes, and looked at the other "so called employee sitting in the room." How unprofessional is that? At this point of the interview they asked me to fill out an application and followed it by a short film. After being irritated by their rude behavior, I got up and left. As I was walking out all three girls, were chit chatting and I kindly told them that this wasn’t the job for me and I wasn’t going to waste mine or their time. Thank god I got out of this situation as soon as I had the gut feeling that this was a scam. As it turns out, it is a scam and they just try to con you out of 75.00 for a background check and a start-up fee of…I didn’t even get that far. So job seekers, beware, and please flag these people down on craigslist.
