Miscellaneous

On 3/5 Tim Wells called me saying he represented Summer Bay Resorts in Las Vegas. He asked me if I was interested in selling my points. He further said that because Summer Bay had recently sold to Orange Lake Resorts, Orange Lake was looking for more inventory and, so, were contacting current owners. He said there would be no money required up front but at the time of signing a contract for the sale of the property, there would be a $798.00 fee. He said that he currently had two parties who wanted to purchase points. He said that this number of points were normally only worth about $38,000 but he suggested putting a price of $45,000 negotiable. He was sure his party would pay that amount. He then asked me if I would be interested in renting the points that I currently held for this year. He said that the company would purchase them from me for $2800.00 for every 30 points that I held. We agreed that the company could rent 120,000 points from me for $2800 for each set of 30,000 points. He said that this would happen immediately because they needed the inventory. He said that I would get check in 4 - 7 days. When asked he said that the $798 would not be charged to my credit card until I had signed the contract accepting the offer. I agreed.
On 3/7 I noticed that my credit card had been charged the $798.00. I called Mr. Wells and asked him what was going on. He said that the company was going to pay me the rental fee and everything was set. I should expect a call either that day or the next to set up delivery of the check by Fed Ex. They wanted to be sure I would be home to sign for it.
I have been in contact with Mr. Wells on almost a daily basis until 3/16. On 3/15 I called him to ask why I not received anything or been contacted. He seemed upset and said that they were really backlogged and he hated to push the people too hard because they were working as fast as they could. If I didn't hear from them by the next day i was to call him and he would make sure it got done.
On 3/16 I received a copy of the advertisement that A-1 Marketing was going to do to try to sell my points and to rent my current points.
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to contact both Mr. Wells and A-1 Marketing since that time. He does not answer nor does he return my calls. A-l Marketing has a voice recording saying to call back at a later time. I called the number that was on my credit card charge and it is not in service.
