High-pressure w/no refund if cancelled according to contract

I phoned an ad in our local newspaper about surplus buildings available for purchase. I called the number and they set-up a time to visit. A woman named Robin came with all of the paperwork. When I showed her the area, I questioned if there was enough space available without causing problems with my neighbor's property line. I told her that maybe I needed to contact the public works division and find out about the regulations. She informed me that there were none, and she got out her tape measure and said it's fine. After that there was a very hard pressure sales pitch. I signed the paper to get rid of her thinking I will call the company and cancel it right away. The law says I have three days and Robin even agreed to that. The company would not take my calls.

I continued to call the next day and the following Monday. Tuesday would have been my third day. They told me that they would call me back in an hour. They didn't. I called them back and they informed me that it was too late to do anything. I was committed to the contract of not only the $500.00 deposit, but that they would be taking the rest of the 3,000.00 out of my checking account. I immediately went to the bank, of course the 500.00 was already taken out. I had to change my account numbers and all of my direct pay bills.

I called them several times afterwards and they informed me that I was harrassing them. I detest these people and I was robbed. I am a single-mother who wanted a garage for her teen-age sons. Not only can I not afford this one, I couldn't even buy another one after this theft occured.
