Miscellaneous

I called a reputable doctors office to enquire re cost of an office visit for an ear infection and was quoted $50 to $70 depending on what the doctor advised. I said I would pay cash as I did not have B on my Medicare Card. I was charged $70 for the visit but two weeks later received a further bill for $245 for "the rest of the office visit charge." I called the office to ask what this was for and they said the standard charge for those who did not have B on their Medicare Card was close to $300 ad this was what I owed. I am stunned and disgusted. No wonder people cannot afford medical care.
