Miscellaneous

About three months ago, I received an offer from Pizza Hut (while online) for a $100.00 gift certificate.

The offer looked to be authentic, was definitely from Pizza Hut, and I thought it would be nice to get some "free" food - who wouldn't? I clicked on "accept", assuming that my email address and name would be requested, and that I would receive a gift certificate from Pizza Hut for $100.00 USD.

Instead, I was thrown into page after page of offers from all kinds of businesses that I was not interested in. I did not click on any of the offers, and unclicked (unchecked) offers that were automatically "checked" by Pizza Hut's process. I never did complete their online process for the "gift certificate", and never received any confirmation from them that I had attempted to receive their offer.

When it became apparent that I would have to engage in additional purchases and/or agreements that I was not interested in to receive Pizza Hut's gift certificate, I attempted to back out of the web site pages, but was unsuccessful at doing so (I could not get back to the page where I entered my email address - it wasn't possible).
