Hand R Block advertised free filing for simple forms. I was told last year I did not have to file again this year. But I wanted the taxes back that we had paid on our social security, and on the pension my husband drew. He passed away in July. It was 6 or 7 months before I got the taxes stopped. Also i had worked 6 months for the volunteer fire dept as clerk and re signed after 37 years. My pay was 1200.00 So they gave me a full years salary. So I claimed that. So H and R Block said simple taxes are free. Mine was simple. Last year I had a lot more to claim and my tax lady only charged me 90.00 dollars. I was stunned when they said 270.00 I ask where the free simple taxes came in, she said "oh we had to file the 1200.00 I filed the 1200.00 last year and it only cost me 90. Had Inot know I was getting it done free I would have went back to my other tax lady. I feel they took total advanage of me. I have bad mouthed them on face book and have already cost them buisness.
