Miscellaneous

He claimed to be selling a Bamboo Silver 2006 Lexus RX 330 for $2,900. He said he is based at Grand Forks Air Force Base in ND and is being deployed to Afghanistan... The reason for the good deal. He also claimed to be working through ebay with their Buyer Protection services wherein I sent my money to their agent through Western Union and not to him. This is supposed to make you feel like it is safe. Ebay states on their website that they do not support money transfers through Western Union, only Paypal. After I sent the money and waited for the car to be shipped, he told me that DAS needed additional money for a security deposit.in my case, it was $1,500. That's what tipped me off. During all of this, professional sounding emails were sent to me from invoice@ebaymotors.com and ebay@auto-ksl.com. After I stated that I would not send additional funds, I stopped hearing from him. My money was sent through Western Union to George Wilcox, 13879 Francis Lewis Blvd, Rosedale, NY 11422.
