Miscellaneous

My computer froze and a pop-up message came on the screen saying that I had a computer virus and that a virus protection program would protect my computer and allow me to continue. Nothing I could do would unfreeze my computer. I was forced to purchase the software to use my computer. I paid 59.95 on my credit card to unlock my computer. The charge apparently allowed me to only "unfreeze" my computer and I received no anti-virus protection software. I found the charge on my MasterCard bill. I received nothing for this fee other than to unlock my computer. This is a scam that I found has happened to many others.
