The plant manager of my former company agreed to the acquisition of the drivers, provided J.B. Hunt honor our seniority and vacation time. Before this "deal", I had booked a flight to Florida in January. My new dispatcher had assured me it was o.K. To take this time off. I reminded him frequently of this vacation with pay. He would tell me " Absolutely". The initial meeting when they stunned us with the news that J.B. Hunt was taking over the drivers, they said our seniority was rolled over to J, B. Hunt. I have 27 years with my company, which meant I have 27 years with J.B. Hunt. I have 4 weeks vacation with my company, which means I should have 4 weeks vacation with J.B. Hunt. The week after I came back to work, I checked my pay online, and was surprised to see 0.00 for my pay! I called my dispatcher, who told me they denied my pay. They were assuming I was a new hire. I spoke to the plant manager, who said he would make some phone calls and "get back to me." I has been 2 weeks and I have heard no news, and have received no vacation pay, which leads me to believe this is no mistake. They apparently have reneged on this deal, after getting us onboard with J.B. Hunt., and keeping OUR company's deliveries on schedule. J.B. Hunt reps gave us employee booklets customized for us. The page on vacation states: " vacation will be awarded according to your total tenure with your company" ex: if you have 3 years with your company, you will get 2 weeks vacation with J.B. Hunt" I am mad enough to be outsourced after 27 years, but to be lied to has me RIPPING! I will NOT let this go!
