Miscellaneous

I have been an AT&T wireless customer for over 7 years. I also bought the Iphone since it came out in 2007. I purchased the unlimited data plan at the time for $30 which was the standard rate. I have the Iphone4 and use the data regularly for work and pleasure. After watching a couple shows on crackle and watching some youtube, and downloading some apps, I hit the 1.5 gig mark for data use. I received an automatic text saying that I have hit the 5% mark for all users in my region. Immediately after that point the data speeds "throttled" down to nearly 9.9Kb/s, which is worse than dial up connection of 10 years ago. Since when was 1.5 gigs of data usage considered "unlimited?" I called the ATT customer service and their answer was that since I used "too much" the system automatically "throttles" the downloading speeds to practically "dial up" speeds. And technically I could use unlimited data but at the rate of molasses, rendering my iphone useless. I just think that this is wrong and I will cancel my plan with AT&T immediately when my contract is up.
