As I recall, my McAfee program was malfunctioning for some reason, and a very legit looking Windows Defender ad came up soon after, or I came across it, and offered lifetime protection for this price. I really should have contacted McAfee but did'nt. When the bill came due, the company name was not familiar, and I was more than a bit suspect when the place of origin was outside the U.S., and Russia besides. Nothing to do with Microsoft, according to my c/c company. And I must make contact with said company before they can do anything.
