Miscellaneous

Back in May of I was contacted by Joe of Meridian who cold called me. He told me that he already had someone in the wings who was willing to rent my timeshare for around $1,800. I told him to go ahead, but he insisted that he get $500 up front. He also said that he can get this person or another willing customer of his to buy it outright for about $12,000 in about 3 months. I paid up front and I did not hear from him in months. Finally, called him and he said that the rent deal fell through because the renter changed his mind. He suggested that I drop my price to about $10,000 so I can sell it. I agreed. That was in September.in January of I called again and asked him what's happening, he said that his "Finance" guy, "Carmine DeSocio", can do "something for me". A few minuets later, Carmine called me. He told me that he was not a sales guy, but that he handled the financing for clients. He had a specific client who he said not only wanted my timeshare, but has already passed the Wells Fargo approval for a loan and that all was ready to buy my timeshare for the $10K. All I had to do is pay yet another $1,000 to pay for " his taxes and closing costs". This he said, would sweeten the offer and close the deal. I told him to give me this in writing, he refused and said that things were moving very quickly and that he needed to pay this right away and that he did not have the time to write up the proposal for me. He promised to send me the contract after my card was processed. Again, I was duped. I gave him my credit card number. The contract which he emailed me was for an Advertising and Marketing advertisement for an "e-commerce" sale. Nothing was mentioned about the discussion we had. I called him and I said told him that this contract did not reflect our discussion. He reassured me that was necessary because of some kind of Florida rules (which made no sense to me).

For weeks I have been calling him. Every time he told me that the papers were signed and ready to go and that I should have my timeshare sold by the end of the month. This never happened. I finally came to the realization that I was once again, scammed. I still have the timeshare and I paid Meridian/Gozane Media $1,500 for nothing
