I wrote a book using xlibris publishing company as the publishers. I paid my initial $500.00 for my package which included website, business cards and book markers. It was november. I began to market my book through the website, friends, family and several other websites i created and venues. Having confirmed sales and proof through the 4 years. I received 0 sales and upon investigation via.internet i found hundreds of other cases like mine that never received a penny of their royalties over years. They were viewed as a fradulent publishing company and warned other potential customers that xlibris publishing was a scam. I contacted xlibris and asked them to destroy my copyrights, destroy the book, discontinue it permenantly, pull it from all venues of sale, upon which they requested that i submit a signed request by fax. I did so and they confirmed that they had destroyed all access and copyrights. I recently checked through google the title and saw that they still had my book up for sale in all major venues and all of the amazons, (foriegn countries) barnes & nobles for a whopping $36per copy. Pages and pages of advertisements still receiving my royalties to this day. I am in the process of seeking a joint lawsuit with the hundreds of other new authors who have been robbed and scammed. It has been a very hard process for me to find the other people to join with me and to find the legal counsel who will take this monumental case to court for all of us to put them out of business. We will put xlibris publishing company fromsmall huts in the philliphines, a philliphines based organization who is robbing and raping americans. Can we afford to sit back on this one???
