I received a phone call from express platinum card company asking me if I would be interested in having $5,500 that I could use anyway I wanted and only be charged a small percentage fee each month. I said "right and I have to buy from you or a catalog" and the young man said "oh no, its just like any credit card and no catalogs are involved". So I waited to see just what I would get in the mail to tell me that I had this credit, NOTHING. I called 1/11 several times left name and info still Nothing. When I finally got through I had a one sided conversation with a young lady that was hard to understand and background noise that made it hard to hear. I then found out that the $99. Was unrefundable and on top of that there is a $19. Monthly charge and I do have to go through them to purchase anything, like a catalog, SURPRISE! I live on retirement and social security and this is a bite and a ripoff.
