My fiance and i went to Loblaws to purchase meat for a family member. We spent $38.50 on a roast and $21.00 on pork chops. We live a block away so when arrived home the meat was not needed. I read the back of the reciept which says "merchandise may be returned for exchange or refund within 14 days." So we decided to head back and ask for a refund or exchanged. When we arrived at the customer service desk we were given dirty looks and an attitude from the employees. Finally they called the manager on duty for us. When she arrived she seemed irritated by us for asking for her assistance. She coldly said "i'm not going to refund this for you because we won't make a profit."

When i read her the return policy on the back of the reciept she said "well i have the right to say no and if you try to return this again tomorrow ill make sure they wont accept it." My fiance said if you don't give me my money back i will not be leaving, which she then threatened to call the police. My fiance is legally blind and as we were leaving he bumped into a couple of things and the manager on duty followed us out with her cell phone stating you * better hurry up because she was dialing the cops. We have been customers of that store for many years and consistently went there to shop but we will not be shopping there ever again. We are out $60.00. I guess the corporate dollar is worth more than the customer value and respect.
