M-6750 metal clips - Gateway M-6750 notebook

Metal clips attached to the motherboard continue coming off. BestBuy removed 2 shortly after purchase. I removed one more a year later. Three days ago, one more shorted out the motherboard. Looking on web, problem is widespread and no company (Gateway, MPC, Acer) will take responsibility. This Gateway customer won't buy Gateway anymore.
