We used Pods to move from Atlanta, GA to St. Paul, MN. At the time of booking we were given a total price for the complete move which we were told included delivery of the Pod to our place in Atlanta, removal to a storage facility, one month of storage, and mileage and delivery to MN. At that time we did not know our exact final delivery zip code or our exact date of delivery - we told the booking representative this. He told us that he would put in a "temporary zip code and delivery date, " and assured us that these could be changed later with no change to our fees. We called to schedule a delivery day and time, and were told that we would have to pay more than $500 over our original agreed price. Since then we have spent over 4 hours on the phone with various customer service reps, management, etc. Trying to get the price down to our original quote. Everyone is very unhelpful, gives wildly differing explanations for pricing inconsistencies, and each time we call back the price continues to go up! We were even told that if we don't agree to their upcharged price within 7 days that the price will go up AGAIN, and that it is steadily increasing each day that we dispute it! All we are asking them to do is honor their original agreement! We've been waiting for various management people to call us back for days now, and nobody does. We also discovered that they actually altered our original online invoice, which is illegal. They deny this. Pods is completely unethical and even though all we want to do is pay our bill (the RIGHT bill that we signed for!) and get our belongings back, they can't even get their act together enough to make this happen.
