A salesman called my 83 year old mother and talked her into buying some equipment that was to make her finances easier to track. She did not understand, she thought she gives them money and they pay her bills. When the equipment was delivered she thought it was from one of her son's, something she could use to send emails. She called me because she didn't understand what it was. When I got there I realized she needed a computer for this stuff. We sent it right back to Fiancial Strategies. I was going through my mom's credit card statements and saw that the company had charged her for this equipment. My mother does not have a computer nor did she ever have a computer. When I called the company they said it was to bad but she gave them the credit card number. The salesman talked to my mother for over an hour trying to get her to get this equipment but never once asked or told her she needed a computer. I told the president of this company that I thought the salesman was unethical in his dealings with my mother. But she said it didn't matter because my mother gave her credit card number. On top of that they didn't even send the equipment back that my mother supposedly bought.
I really feel this company took advantage of my mother, she had just lost my dad and wasn't in a mental state to make such a purchase. It makes me wonder how many other senior's have they tricked into buying such equipment.
