Miscellaneous

I called ADR and asked about rescuing my data. Most of the card was OK, but the middle videos wouldn't play in the camera or on the computer, the last ones I could see in the video camera. He said he had free diagnostic and I didn't have to pay anything unless he recovered my data. He quoted me $300.00 to $, and I said that was too much and I wasn't sure at this time they were something I could afford to save. He offered to reduce the price down around $200.00 if I blogged about him. I said sure. I left off my card and he took forever to get back to me, said he could save the videos. I asked him for a price, and he said he would send me a work order, he did, it was $385.00. I called and asked him why he didn't keep to our agreement, he never answered me, just said he needed a credit card. I could never get a quote that matched our agreement, so I asked for my card back. I picked it up and all my videos were gone. I called and asked where my good videos were, and he said the card was bad and it was on his data, so he couldn't put it back on a bad disk. I would have paid for a new memory card. Or even paid the $200.00 we agreed to originally. He is holding my data hostage for money. This was a scam all along.
