I submitted this order for a Garmin 760 navigation system priced at $355.00 on Mar 20, I received an e-mail stating, Dear Robert R
Thank you for your order from 86th Street Photo & Video - Order # 53xxxx-W.

Your order is currently: Processing..., and I received a call March 22, from a man who left a voicemail saying he needed to confirm my order. I called back on March 26, and I gave him all my information again and then he proceeded to tell me that I needed to order a data card to make the system work because it does not come preloaded with maps and it will not work without the data card. I questioned the need for the data card as I understood The specification on their site states the device is ready to use right out of the box and I told the salemans this as well. He gave me information on the Data Card and the price was about 4 times what Garmin charges for it on their web site.

The price changed upward in a couple of days after I ordered the device to $4XX. 99. I read on Ripoff at the time I was talking to the salesman about someone with a complaint about trying to sell a card, similar to what he was doing and told him about what I was reading and he hung up on me. I called back and the same person answered, but he said it was not. I was turned over to a lady that I tried to talk with, but she told me the order I placed was on backorder, I asked when, she said two minutes ago. Then I received an email stating my item was on back order for at least two to four weeks. I am going to guess I am going to get stone walled until I cancel my order. If I am wrong, I will respond to this and the prior complaint with the positive results.
