Called Future Shop (Corporate) ONLINE and asked them about their LOWEST PRICE GUARANTEE. I said Crackberry.ca had 2 Blackberry chargers (in-car and AC travel charger) at substantially lower prices. They said "print out each on-line product/price page and submit it in-store and Future Shop store will match the prices as well as offer an additional 10% of the difference reduction". I called BRANTFORD, ON FUTURE SHOP STORE to review same info as ONLINE store explained, and Brantford store personnel confirmed the same deal. We went over the specific costs both times on the telephone before I travelled to retail store. I said "well that's a good deal, so I will drive out to your store and do the deal". When I got there to buy the products and pay at the Cell Bar counter, the girl (Steph) said I must pay an additional $10 (plus 13% tax) and also the 10% of the difference was consequently reduced as the price difference had now been artifically reduced by the extra $10 "next day shipping" charge they so cavalierly applied out of my wallet. I WAS AT THE STORE SO THERE WAS NO SHIPPING / This was CONSUMER DECEPTION pure and simple - this FUTURE SHOP company - a subsidiary of US-owned BEST BUY - is stealing business from competitors fraudulently, and compelling customers to "walk-in" based on false offers of price competitiveness. I later returned the goods and placed my order with Crackberry.ca, who are the real heros in this story. Crackberry.ca offers the real value - future shop offers lies and fraud, con-jobs and bait and switch offers. I am finished with Future Shop for life after this insult. Brantford F.S. Manager Andrew Synec seems to think his customers shouldn't complain when Future Shop robs them through fraud and false advertising - he said "don't come back here because you are unhappy clearly" No (Inappropriate Content Removed), you sleazy Sherlock! They are now unworthy of my business. We spent as a family in excess of $3,000 at Future Shop in the last calendar year.
