The store I shop at has cut fabric dept.By 50% and when I questioned the Assis. Manager said Walmart will be selling materials by piece only in future.in a tough economy does this make sense? I shop at Walmart because of fabric at $1 per yard so now I will be shopping for fabric and other items elsewhere. The fabric is what drew me to the store where I would shop for other items.

I am in my 80's and get driven from one end of state to the other to shop at their Fabric department and in the last month find the cutting table closed because they won't put an employee there after 4 pm but the store is opened till 11 pm?
