Miscellaneous

My co-owner of our timeshare was contacted by phone by Goldstar Resorts. She was told that they had someone who wanted to buy our timeshare, was she interested in selling. We were told that we had to pay a deposit of $1599 to cover title search fees, etc and that it would be refunded to us from the buyer at closing. We were told that we needed to make a decision quickly as the buyer wanted to close within 45 days. After checking the Better Business Bureau in SC and not finding any adverse information, we paid the deposit on May 23. We continually checked with them over the summer to find out the status; they were waiting for the title search to come back, they were waiting for the resort to verify our maintenance fees were up to date, they were waiting for the resorts first right of refusal, we were waiting for the buyer to get financing, to sign the papers. This last time when we called the number was no longer in service.
